Meet our Team
-
Joseph Seeley
Owner and Master Appliance Technician
Director of Technical Operations
With over 35 years of experience as a Master Appliance Technician, Joseph brings to the team a level of expertise that is rare in our industry. He isn’t often stumped by an appliance; but, when he is, he is relentless in his pursuit of an answer and will consult with manufacturers and his vast network of fellow professionals until he figures out the issue. His own words: “I get a rush whenever I fix something” mean that you are in good hands with the nerdiest of nerds when it comes to appliances. He loves what he does and he loves serving you!

William Bannister
Appliance Technician
William came to Cavalry Appliance Service from the automotive parts retail industry, but we specifically selected him to train as an Appliance Technician Apprentice because of his exceptional character. We met Will through his volunteerism with Boy Scouts of America and we are consistently impressed with his helpful, cheerful and eager-to-learn spirit. William began as an apprentice with consistent one on one training with Joseph and was promoted to Appliance Technician in December, 2023. He does an amazing job caring for our customers and has embraced the same spirit of tenacity and problem solving as his teacher.

The Cavalry Crest Explained
-
Part 1- The Chevron
The Chevron often symbolizes an achievement in building, particularly Churches, Castles and Forts. It also represents faithful service and loyalty.
Service is a pillar of our family values and we have fostered a spirit of service as a married couple and as a family.
Over the past decade, we have helped to build a new Orthodox Christian Church in our previous home town of Bel Air, Maryland as well as serving as leaders in our children’s scout troops, school programs and other community volunteer opportunities.
What an enormous blessing it has been to live out our faith in service to God and our Community. This Chevron reminds us daily to seek out ways to serve others and help our community in any way we can!
We bring this spirit of faithful service and loyalty to our new community of New Bern and look forward to living out our lives here in Eastern North Carolina.

Part 2- The Rook
The Rook is a symbol of critical thinking and problem solving and represents our mission to keep learning so that we can maintain our master level technical skills.
We offer a money back guarantee because we don’t believe that our customers should have to pay us if we aren’t able to diagnose something. Our diagnostic fee is sometimes a little higher than others’ in our field. That’s because we invest in every tool we can to give you the knowledge and perseverance you deserve.
We invest in memberships offered by appliance manufacturers, online and in-person continuing education classes, peer group opportunities, masterminds, and conventions for appliance professionals to give you the very best for your investment in us. Appliances are always evolving and we promise to keep up with them the best we can because that’s what you, our customer, deserves!
-
Part 3- The Hawk
The Hawk is a symbol of Perseverance and lets you know that we will not stop working until we have correctly diagnosed your appliance problem.
We pledge not to give up until we have figured out what’s really wrong with your appliance and, if we can’t figure it out, we’ll give you your money back. If our repair fails, we also won’t charge you for a return trip- because that means we didn’t fix it…yet! We’ll research, ask colleagues for help, work with the manufacturer, whatever it takes.
We use the Blue Book for Appliance Repair, which is the industry standard for flat rate pricing. When we quote you a price for a repair, we enter the parts into the calculator and it tells us what to charge. This protects our customers from paying by the hour for repairs that take us longer to figure out and guarantees that you pay a set price no matter how long it takes.
-
Part 4- The Crown
Simply put, the Crown is a symbol of our Christian Faith and reminds us that our business is an extension of who we are as Christians.
In 1 Corinthians 9:24-25, St. Paul says “Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.”
In Revelations, Chapter 4, St. John shares “I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads (verse 4)” and then goes on to say “the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne…(verse 10)”
As Orthodox Christians, we were crowned during our Wedding Service as King and Queen of our new home/life/future family and took our first steps as husband and wife in the Church with Christ and His Gospel at the center of our life together and our friends and family surrounding us to support our journey. Cavalry Appliance Service, like everything else we have done as a couple, is a part of that journey. Although we know we can never be perfect, we commit to honor God to the best of our ability in how we treat each other, our community and our customers.
