Cavalry Appliance Service’s Joseph Seeley Named Nation’s Top Technician at the 2025 PSA National Conference

Cavalry Appliance Service of New Bern, North Carolina, proudly announces that Master Certified Technician Joseph Seeley has been named “The Nation’s Top Tech 2025” at the Professional Servicers Association (PSA) National Conference in Las Vegas in September 2025.
This national honor recognizes the most skilled, knowledgeable, and customer-focused appliance technician in the country. Only Master Certified Technicians, the industry’s highest credential, are eligible to compete. The competition evaluates diagnostic accuracy, written knowledge, and customer service through a mock service call on a new-to-market appliance that competitors have never seen before.
Joseph Seeley brings over 37 years of technical experience, including 33 years at Landers Appliance in Baltimore, Maryland, before relocating with his family to New Bern, North Carolina, where he and his wife Ginny Seeley founded Cavalry Appliance Service in 2021. Their company quickly earned recognition for its exceptional professionalism, including the 2023 United Appliance Servicers Association “Most Professional Servicer” Award.
“This isn’t the first time I competed for Top Tech,” said Joseph Seeley. “I’ve attempted it several times. It feels good to finally win. Now that I’ve achieved this as well as Most Professional Servicer, my goal is to train the next generation of technicians to win the title for themselves.”
Beyond leading Cavalry, Joe serves as an instructor at Craven Community College’s Volt Center, teaching Home Appliance Repair (cravencc.edu/programs/workforce-development/elc-apptech-home-appliance-repair). He is passionate about mentoring others, advancing the trade, and continuing his own professional education. Joe and Ginny regularly attend industry conferences and participate in several professional mastermind groups, one of which is hosted by Ginny through her company, Outcome Academy.
